Email Setup - Microsoft Outlook 2002 XP

  1. Open Outlook.
  1. From the Tools menu, select Email Accounts.
  1. Select Add a new email account and click Next.
  1. Select POP3 as your server type and click Next.
  1. In the Your name text box, type your full name.
  2. In the Email address text box, type your email address.
    For example: memberid@emailmyname.com
  3. In the Incoming mail (POP3) text box, type pop.emailmyname.com.
  4. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) text box, type smtp.emailmyname.com.
  5. In the User name text box, enter your emailMyName email address.
  6. In the Password text box, type your password.
    Note: This feature is optional. Leave this field blank, if you want Outlook to prompt you for your password each time you access your email.
Warning!
Do not check the circle next to Log on using Secure Password Authentication.
  1. Click on the More Settings... button.
  1. In the Mail Account text box type emailMyName.com.
  2. In the Organization text box, type in your organization, or you can leave this field blank.
  3. In the Reply Email text box, type your email address.
    For example: memberid@emailmyname.com
  4. Select the Outgoing Server tab
  5. Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
  6. Check the circle next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
  7. Select the Connection tab.
  1. Under Connection, check the circle next to Connect using my local area network (LAN).
  2. Select the Advanced tab.
  1. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) text box, type 25.
  2. In the Incoming mail (POP3) text box, type 110.

Click OK and click Finish to exit.
